Very upbeat! I have to admit, as I watched the inspiration and read the description for it, I was really hoping for some kind of "acquired the floppy disk" sound. I know that would be out of place with the track, but the music went so well with the art that I briefly thought I was watching an animated short. Good work, good luck on AIM!

It worked! :D
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. :)

Lovely song! I caught a rolled R (0:29, "Prayed") which didn't quite seem to mesh with the rest of the melody and wasn't repeated. The lyrics are wonderful and heartfelt. Great buildup from piano to full orchestral. Good luck in AIM!

Troisnyx responds:

IIRC, I actually repeated the rolled R in 'cracks in our hearts ever widened', but meep~

Glad you enjoyed it; thank you! <3

Nice buildup at the start, it was a nice touch to get an ocean surf feel to set the tone. Again at the 3:12 mark, it worked in a nice break to prep for the climax. I loved the beat throughout, great work!

ocean drum + rain stick = sick waves

thank! ;)

I needed a nice pick-me-up after my coffee wore off, and this fit the bill perfectly. It's got a wonderfully upbeat tempo and tune, but doesn't start off too jarring. You did a nice job of balancing the perky upbeat happiness and still giving a bit of a relaxation period.

Noisysundae responds:

Hardcore music is usually good at keeping listeners awake. It's always overly lively. :D

This feels like a great build up to a climactic battle, it should work really well as a full release/in a survival game. I'm not sure if you have an on-call orchestra, but it sounds like you do. If this was program, well done. If you do have an orchestra hidden in your basement, don't forget to feed them!

Bosa responds:

Thank you! They live on cheese sticks!

It definitely has a T-Rex vibe to it. I can picture it lumbering around and being majestically terrifying. It seemed a little chaotic, but I pulled the inspiration up alongside and read your description of the work in tandem, and it all seemed to come together really nicely. I sometimes find it hard to get a full story out of DnB/VG styles of music, but I think you did a great job! Best of luck in AIM!

ActualElf responds:

Hey thank you!

It is entirely chaotic ahaha, it's 6 minutes of relentless aggression, switch ups and unconventional rhythms. I wanted to let rip and make something filled with chaos. It was really fun to make!

Thank you for taking the time to review <3

Nice track. A bit of a wind tunnel feel, but we'll call that Cosmic Winds because there's still an outer-space thing going on. 0:17-0:34 and 1:11-1:18 didn't seem to fit with the spacey atmosphere the rest of the track created. Maybe I just have a weird idea of what space would sound like. Good work though, keep it up!

JettJames responds:

Thank you! Fun fact - the atmosphere effects are real wave frequencies from Saturn converted into sounds that we can hear! Not sure how it’s done, but it sounds cool.

EDIT- I do agree those parts don’t really fit.

Nice track, it seems like it would work well as a cycle loop restarting with the morning alarm. I've seen the art that it pairs with, and I think it's quite fitting. When I hear the track I can picture different phases of the day: starting out with a morning rain shower, afternoon calm, evening partying, and the cycle restarts. Good work, good luck in AIM18!

DarkHorseOrchestra responds:

Thank you for the kind words!

Good use of shifting the balance to left/right output, it comes across fairly well on headphones but has the side effect of lowering the volume in the off-shifted side. You've done well at keeping a good base line while also adding or taking away various elements to keep it varied but also tied together. Good work, keep it up!

Alyctro responds:

Your response is appreciated! I think i know what you mean.

I want buns of steel but also buns of cinnamon.
