Pretty good! There was a little drop at 0:49, and I was hoping for a nice big one based on the visualizer gap at 1:19 which tricked me as the drop at 1:53 was bigger. Track had a mashup vibe between Hobbit and The Ants Go Marching for beat and atmosphere. A thought for that 1:19 section would be shifting the balance from one side to the other to increase some of the effect. It would probably have a different sound played in a room versus on headphones, but that's just a personal preference of mine. Good work overall, I'm gonna go check out your other works!

Olindel responds:

Wow, a very nice description we have there, very helpful, thank you very much! And thanks for the advices, really need them :D Hope you like the rest of my other works ;)

I needed a nice pick-me-up after my coffee wore off, and this fit the bill perfectly. It's got a wonderfully upbeat tempo and tune, but doesn't start off too jarring. You did a nice job of balancing the perky upbeat happiness and still giving a bit of a relaxation period.

Noisysundae responds:

Hardcore music is usually good at keeping listeners awake. It's always overly lively. :D

This feels like a great build up to a climactic battle, it should work really well as a full release/in a survival game. I'm not sure if you have an on-call orchestra, but it sounds like you do. If this was program, well done. If you do have an orchestra hidden in your basement, don't forget to feed them!

Bosa responds:

Thank you! They live on cheese sticks!

It definitely has a T-Rex vibe to it. I can picture it lumbering around and being majestically terrifying. It seemed a little chaotic, but I pulled the inspiration up alongside and read your description of the work in tandem, and it all seemed to come together really nicely. I sometimes find it hard to get a full story out of DnB/VG styles of music, but I think you did a great job! Best of luck in AIM!

ActualElf responds:

Hey thank you!

It is entirely chaotic ahaha, it's 6 minutes of relentless aggression, switch ups and unconventional rhythms. I wanted to let rip and make something filled with chaos. It was really fun to make!

Thank you for taking the time to review <3

Great track! I got chills at one point. Not much I can say to suggest improvements. I love the use of left-right balance shift, awesome beat. Laura has a lovely voice. Glad to see you're a NG artist, because I keep seeing your works pop up here and there.

Very upbeat! Consistent tune but not overly repetitive. Sounds like it'll make a nice addition to your game.

I always like when an artist makes use of shifting the balance between left and right side output, good work there. I do agree that the stem cutting off at 1:13 seems out of place, since it starts at 0:36 and restarts quietly at 1:17. It feels like it was supposed to fade out then in again. Good work overall, I liked this track!

Nice track. A bit of a wind tunnel feel, but we'll call that Cosmic Winds because there's still an outer-space thing going on. 0:17-0:34 and 1:11-1:18 didn't seem to fit with the spacey atmosphere the rest of the track created. Maybe I just have a weird idea of what space would sound like. Good work though, keep it up!

JettJames responds:

Thank you! Fun fact - the atmosphere effects are real wave frequencies from Saturn converted into sounds that we can hear! Not sure how it’s done, but it sounds cool.

EDIT- I do agree those parts don’t really fit.

Nice track, it seems like it would work well as a cycle loop restarting with the morning alarm. I've seen the art that it pairs with, and I think it's quite fitting. When I hear the track I can picture different phases of the day: starting out with a morning rain shower, afternoon calm, evening partying, and the cycle restarts. Good work, good luck in AIM18!

DarkHorseOrchestra responds:

Thank you for the kind words!

Considering the title, I wasn't expecting such an upbeat track. Good beats and tempo throughout. Around the 0:34 mark has a Sim City feel to it, but I can definitely see the ghost party side as well. Good work!

I want buns of steel but also buns of cinnamon.
