Open source programs are great. Cakewalk by Bandlab is now free (down from $500) so maybe look into that, though I found it a computer process hog.

This is a nice ambient track, I didn't find it sounded abrupt. It had a nice soft open, muted ambiance throughout, and it didn't just cut off without a little trail at the end. Good work! I'd say keep doing what you're doing.

Ahhh I tried Cakewalk, but -- Fucc... my happiness is completely disintegrated when I knew it is only for 64 bit. T___T I'm trying out a wide variety of DAW's and audioware including OpenMPT (tracker) and Finale demo & MuseScore (notations).

And also thank you, never knew even unscouted this did get noticed and got nice comments :)

You've been granted your 160 seconds. The overall feel of this is interesting, a bit of an ambiance to the synth. There isn't much variance from the main melody, no aggressive highs or lows, but the consistency seems to fit well with the experimental vibe I think you may have been after.

Nice build up to the drop! There's a nice variation in the track between going all in and giving a recovery space. Anime-sounding injects were an interesting touch. Good work.

Thanks for the feedback :)

The spacey-plucky bits at the start sync'd up really nicely with the floating astronaut inspiration. I found that you did a nice job within the music style of conveying a space theme. The simple notes in the intro and outro seemed to reinforce the loneliness and expanse of space itself. Nice work!

Very upbeat! I have to admit, as I watched the inspiration and read the description for it, I was really hoping for some kind of "acquired the floppy disk" sound. I know that would be out of place with the track, but the music went so well with the art that I briefly thought I was watching an animated short. Good work, good luck on AIM!

It worked! :D
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. :)

Lovely song! I caught a rolled R (0:29, "Prayed") which didn't quite seem to mesh with the rest of the melody and wasn't repeated. The lyrics are wonderful and heartfelt. Great buildup from piano to full orchestral. Good luck in AIM!

Troisnyx responds:

IIRC, I actually repeated the rolled R in 'cracks in our hearts ever widened', but meep~

Glad you enjoyed it; thank you! <3

Your tags aren't wrong, this is definitely upbeat! Making something is always a delicate balance between pleasing other people and doing it for yourself, so I'm glad you learned a bunch while making this. 1:38 seemed to deviate away from the theme but it tied back in fairly well ten seconds later. Good work, keep on learning!

Nice buildup at the start, it was a nice touch to get an ocean surf feel to set the tone. Again at the 3:12 mark, it worked in a nice break to prep for the climax. I loved the beat throughout, great work!

ocean drum + rain stick = sick waves

I want buns of steel but also buns of cinnamon.
